Vol. 339 No. 4

Written Answers. - Departmental Appointments.

465.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy the name, position, rank, terms and conditions of appointment and salaries of any non-established civil servants appointed by him or his Minister of State on a full-time or part-time basis up to 26 January 1983; and if they are on secondment, the agencies or bodies from which they were seconded.

I intend appointing Mrs. Mary Shinners as my personal secretary on a salary of £125.00 per week plus an allowance of £11.00 per week. She is being seconded from the Houses of the Oireachtas and the conditions of her appointment have yet to be finalised by the Minister for the Public Service.

Similarly my Minister of State, Deputy Edward Collins, will be appointing Miss Ann Flanagan as his personal secretary on the same salary and allowance as my personal secretary. She is also being seconded from the Houses of the Oireachtas. Deputy Collins also intends appointing Mr. Walter Morgan as his personal assistant. The details of his appointment have not yet been completed.

The above appointments will terminate when the present Government cease to hold office.

466.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy if any agencies, companies or individuals of a consultancy, advisory or publicity nature have been appointed by him or his Minister of State up to 26 January 1983; and if so, if he will give full details of such appointments in respect of remuneration etc.

No agencies, companies or individuals of a consultancy, advisory or publicity nature have been appointed by me or my Minister of State since my appointment as Minister for Industry and Energy.
