The planning of an extension to the Convent of Mercy secondary school, Tuam, has been satisfactorily processed to the pre-tender stage i.e. the bill of quantities, which is at present under examination in the Department. When this stage has been cleared, the question of when the seeking of tenders for the project may be authorised will be considered in the light of other commitments and the capital funds available.
