Vol. 340 No. 4

Written Answers. - Donegal Development Officer.

301.

asked the Minister for Labour if he intends to provide sufficient funds in order to allow for the retention of the full-time development officer by the Donegal federation of youth clubs; and if he will give a commitment that the position will be made permanent and that he will provide 90 per cent of the funding for it.

Provision has been made in the budget for the necessary additional funds in 1983 to allow voluntary youth organisations including Donegal Regional Youth Council retain the services of their full-time workers employed under the development officer scheme. The questions of extending the development officer scheme beyond its four year term together with the amount of grant are being examined.
