Vol. 340 No. 4

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

311.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason the public telephone box located outside The Traders public house on St. James' Road, Greenhills, Dublin 12, has been left inoperative for over one year; and if he will, in response to local requests, relocate this public telephone box in the Limekiln Farm Estate in a site to be agreed with the Limekiln Farm Tenants' Association.

The kiosk at St. James' Road has been out of service because the equipment spares necessary to repair it were not available. Delivery of these has now been received and arrangements are in train to restore service to the kiosk.

No complaints have been received about the present location of the kiosk.

Kiosk locations are chosen having regard to all factors involved and having regard to the cost involved, relocation is considered only where the circumstances are clearly exceptional. Relocation is not regarded as warranted in this instance.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone kiosk will be erected and a telephone installed in the built-up area of Farrahy, Kildorrery, County Cork.
