Vol. 340 No. 4

Written Answers. - Cork Airport Services.

310.

asked the Minister for Transport if he has satisfied himself with the level of international air services to and from Cork Airport for the summer of 1983; and his attitude to the introduction of new air carriers who would like to take up the abandoned international routes between Cork, United Kingdom and the Continent.

I am satisfied that the planned air services to and from Cork Airport for the coming summer will provide in many respects a greater range of options for travel to the UK and Continent than last year.

In so far as the operation of services by new carriers is concerned, I am always prepared to consider on its merits any application to operate a scheduled air service to/from Cork on a route not already catered for.
