The information in the publication referred to by the Deputy is broken down under a number of headings. The reply given below follows the order of those headings.
Agricultural Fund
It is understood that the figures supplied in the EEC publication relate to marketing and processing projects and measures for the restructuring of the inshore fishing industry. Corresponding figures for the border counties of Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth are set out in the attached table.
European Regional Development Fund
I refer the Deputy to my written reply to him on 22 February 1983.
Social Fund
I refer the Deputy to a written reply to a similar question relating specifically to the European Social Fund given to him by the Minister for Labour on 22 February 1983.
Energy Measures
Data are not available which would enable figures to be given either for the individual counties or the group of counties concerned.
Loans
It is not possible to give a breakdown on a county basis of the loans made available to this country, under the Community Loan instruments from the European Investment Bank and from the New Community Instrument for Borrowing and Lending (NIC). These loans now total IR£1,066 million and have been used to finance the State's investment programmes in energy, in infrastructure and in the productive sector of the economy.
