Notes:

1 Allocations under the Environmental Improvement Scheme, which commenced in 1977, are made by the Department on a county borough/county-at-large (excl. Dublin) basis. The distribution of an allocation to sub-areas within a county is a matter for the appropriate County Manager. The amounts in the table, therefore, are those portions of overall allocations notified to Cork County Council which were allocated locally to the authorities in question.

2 Figures in respect of numbers of youths employed on the scheme in the years prior to 1980 are not available in the Department.
