Vol. 340 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Tipperary National Schools.

607.

asked the Minister for Education when an extension to Ardfinnan national school, County Tipperary, will be built; and if she will make a statement on the matters.

It is understood from the Commissioners of Public Works that a detailed report and feasibility study concerning the proposed extension to Ardfinnan national school, County Tipperary, have just been sent to my Department for consideration. It is not possible to state when building work may commence.

608.

asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the constraints imposed on the staff at Drangan national school, County Tipperary, and the impossible conditions for pupils there, she will ensure as a matter of urgency that a new school is built immediately.

My Department authorised the Commissioners of Public Works on 16 February last to allow the extension of Drangan national school to proceed to the invitation of tenders. The chairman was so informed on the same date.
