I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that the Spiralux expansion, announced last year, will give rise to further employment opportunities in Skibbereen in 1983.
I would add that construction has commenced on a 3 × 3,000 sq. ft. cluster unit in the town under a private finance arrangement with the IDA. In addition the IDA have 14.6 acres available in the town which they are vigorously promoting for industrial development.

I am informed that the Industrial Development Authority are actively promoting the former Keal Manufacturing Company factory and their 17 acres of land in Dunmanway for suitable industrial development.
