asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a telephone kiosk will be provided at Killasolan, Mountbellew, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

Killasolan is not included in the current programme. It will be considered for inclusion in a future programme.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A survey is being carried out to ascertain when it will be possible to provide service for the person named. The applicant will be contacted as soon as the survey is completed.

It is expected that service will be provided for the person named at his business address in Claremorris within the next two months or so. It has not been possible to trace an application by the person named for the address quoted.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the present position regarding the quality of telephone service for a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

Service on the subscriber's line is satisfactory at present. However, there is congestion at times on calls at peak periods in the general area concerned. With the bringing into service of the new trunk exchange at Mervue, Galway, within the next two months or so the quality of service will be substantially improved.
