: I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an application for a refund of tax suffered under PAYE on the grounds of unemployment was submitted by the taxpayer to the Inspector of Taxes in October 1982. Additional information requested by the inspector to process the claim has not yet been supplied. The inspector now proposes to review the taxpayer's income tax position for the years 1980-81 to 1982-83 and he is waiting for the details of employments held and tax suffered in these years.
