: I am informed by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara that the person named has been approved for a BIM grant. The person named has also applied for an EEC grant, and his application has gone forward for consideration under the 1982 FEOGA grant scheme and a decision on the aid to be awarded will be taken by the EEC Commission before the end of July 1983.
All decisions on the allocation of FEOGA grants are a matter for the EEC Commission which operates with limited funds. The Commission judges each application on its merits and there can be no guarantee that any particular application will prove successful even though it may fulfil all the conditions of the scheme as regards eligibility for grant aid.
