asked the Minister for Finance if he will arrange to have a refund of income tax paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as he has been unemployed since 8 January 1983.

: I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a claim to repayment of tax suffered under PAYE for 1982-83 was received by the inspector of taxes in this case on 23 March 1983. As, on the information available to the inspector, relief appeared to be due to the taxpayer for annual interest payments, details of these payments were requested by the inspector on 8 April 1983. The particulars have not yet been received.

asked the Minister for Finance when a tax rebate will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

: I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that no claim for repayment of tax has been received from the taxpayer by the inspector of taxes. The inspector wrote to the taxpayer on 25 February 1983, for the information necessary to up-date his tax position but no reply has been received.
