Vol. 341 No. 9

Written Answers . - Sheep Deaths .

872.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will have an investigation carried out on behalf of sheep farmers into sheep deaths in the Galtee Mountains; and if his representatives will discuss the problem with a person (details supplied) in County Cork who owns a large mountain grazing area and who represents the farmers, as the death of large numbers of sheep is going to have a devastating effect on the sheep farmers of the area; and if he will take action in this matter.

: My Department's veterinary services have not received any reports of sheep deaths on the Galtee Mountains but the matter will be investigated.
