asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be repaired for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone which has been out of order since 17 January 1983 will be repaired for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6.

Telephone service has been restored for the person named.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be installed for a firm (details supplied) in Dublin 4, as service was applied for seven years ago.

Service will be provided for the firm stated as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work will be completed before the latter end of this year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when the telephone of a person (details supplied) in Dublin will be repaired as it has been out of order since last October; and the reason for the delay.

The person in question is no longer a telephone subscriber. His agreement was terminated for non-payment of his accounts.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a request by a firm (details supplied) in County Dublin for certain telephone engineering works to be carried out will be met; and if he is aware that this firm employs 125 people and has substantial export orders on hands which cannot be dealt with unless immediate action is taken.

A survey is being undertaken to establish when additional lines can be provided for the firm named. The applicant will be advised of the result of the survey as soon as it is completed. Everything possible will be done to ensure that service is provided quickly.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when telephone service will be provided for persons (details supplied) in County Dublin.

It is expected that service will be provided for the person named about the end of this year.

It was expected that the necessary engineering work would be completed earlier. Regrettably this was not possible because of the need to divert staff to other urgent work.
