asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applications on the waiting list for telephones in Athenry, County Galway, including a breakdown of the year in which they applied for service and an indication of the rate of installation following the automation of the exchange.

There are 42 applications on hands in the Athenry exchange area. A breakdown by year of application is as follows:

It is expected that all existing applications will be met within about six months after the new automatic exchange has been brought into service.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a public telephone kiosk at Rosabhíl, Connemara, County Galway, will be brought into service.

The provision of service to the public telephone kiosk at Rosabhíl is dependent on the installation of additional equipment in the exchange. It is expected that this work will be completed within the next two months or so.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a business telephone will be repaired for a firm (details supplied) in Dublin 6.

Service will be restored within the next few days.
