asked the Minister for Justice if he will list each Minister of State to whom a state car has been allocated; the make, horsepower and year of manufacture of the car in each case; and the purchase price of each car.

Seventy-three members of the force are engaged full-time as drivers of official transport provided for Ministers, Ministers of State, and so on. There are no part-time drivers. However, relief drivers are assigned from time to time as the need arises.
The particulars sought in relation to official cars provided for Ministers of State, with the exception of purchase prices which are regarded as confidential between the contractors concerned and the State, are given in the following table. (The year of manufacture is taken as the year of purchase)
