Vol. 342 No. 7

Written Answers. - Sheep Subsidy Payments.

806.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when 1980 sheep subsidy grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and when grants in respect of 12 cows which had brucellosis in 1980 and one in 1981 will be paid to him under the diseases eradication scheme.

Sheep subsidy grants in respect of 1980 and reactor grants in respect of 12 brucellosis reactors disclosed in 1980 have been disallowed because the herdowner named by the Deputy was convicted of serious breaches of the disease eradication regulations.

Grant in respect of one brucellosis reactor disclosed after the offences in question will be paid shortly.
