Vol. 342 No. 7

Written Answers. - Galway Street Traders.

723.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will request the customs authorities to carry out a full investigation of the merchandise being sold by street traders in the Galway area in order to establish that it has been legally imported into the country.

The Deputy's request has been referred to the Revenue Commissioners who, as a matter of normal practice, investigate any areas of trading, including street trading, where it is suspected that goods on sale might have been illegally imported into the State.
