Vol. 342 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Cork Postman Appointment.

608.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will as a matter of urgency appoint a person (details supplied) in County Cork to the permanent position of postman in view of the fact that he is a married man with a family, has been doing the work in a temporary capacity for the past nine years and that he passed the medical examination and obtained Garda clearance for the position; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named is being considered, along with others nominated by the National Manpower Service in accordance with standard practice, for appointment as auxiliary postman at Millstreet, County Cork. An appointment will be made at an early date.
