Sixty-one applicants have been approved for capital improvement finance. The total cost is estimated at £240,000. In addition, a further 28 applicants have been approved in principle at a total cost of approximately £700,000. Sufficient funds are available to meet the cost involved.
There are 95 applications at present under investigation for capital improvements to fishing vessels at a total estimated cost of £1.25 million. It is not possible to say at this stage how many of these applications will be approved.
