Vol. 342 No. 11

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

572.

(Dublin North-West): asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a company (details supplied) in Dublin.

There is no record of an application for the company concerned. Service will be provided as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work can be completed before the latter part of this year.

573.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the long delay in installing a telephone for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

I am aware of the application. It is expected that service will be provided early next year.

574.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a person (details supplied) in County Offaly who is confined to a wheelchair will be supplied with a telephone.

Terms are being quoted and service will be provided within about three months after the necessary agreement has been signed.

575.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Cork who is an old age pensioner.

Service will be provided as soon as possible for the person named but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work will be completed before the latter part of this year. However, I am having the matter examined to see if this target can be improved upon.
