asked the Minister for Education if she will consider a proposal to set up a residential school for deaf children in County Kerry in view of the fact that it is most unsatisfactory for these children to attend school in either Cork or Dublin at present; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Representations have been made to me recently regarding the proposed establishment of a day facility for hearing impaired pupils in County Kerry. I am arranging a meeting between officers of my Department and representatives of the parents in question for the purpose of a discussion of the representations.

asked the Minister for Education her plans for the provision of a water supply for Annabla national school, Kilcummin, Killarney, County Kerry.

No application has been received in my Department from the authorities of Annabla national school, County Kerry, for the provision of a water supply at the school.
