Under the Housing Regulations 1980, (as amended), the latest date for the completion of work and receipt in the Department of a claim for payment of a grant under the relevant scheme was 30 June 1981. As this requirement was not complied with in this case the grant approved cannot be paid.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will now arrange payment of a £1,000 new house grant and approval for a mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.
The grant will be paid as soon as possible. Approval to the mortgage subsidy was issued on 7 September 1982.

When the person named notifies my Department that the house is complete and occupied, an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of a grant.
