Mr. Prendergast

asked the Minister for the Environment the wage rates of operative grade staffs in each local authority.

Details of the weekly rates of pay (inclusive of the third phase of the agreement on pay in the public service), of the national seven grade structure for general workers, are set out in the table below. These pay rates do not apply in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Waterford County Boroughs, Dublin County Council and Dún Laoghaire Corporation, where a system of differentials over a basic rate applies. Details of these, in common with other rates which are not national or general rates, are not normally kept by my Department.
