Vol. 343 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

628.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in paying moneys for a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

There is no record in my Department of an application for a £1,000 new house grant from the person named. There is, however, an application in respect of a house at the same address from a person with a slightly different name. This grant will be paid as soon as possible.

629.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in paying a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry, who has completed the erection of a house and is waiting for an inspection by his Department.

There has been no delay in this case. A recent inspection revealed that some work on the applicant's house was still outstanding. A further inspection has now been arranged with a view to payment of the grant.

630.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for the immediate payment of a £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A new house grant has been approved in this case and an inspection, with a view to payment of the grant, will be arranged when the applicant notifies my Department that the house is completed and occupied.
