Vol. 344 No. 3

Written Answers. - Newgrange (Meath) Guide Appointments.

769.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason a person (details supplied) in County Meath was not found suitable for the position of guide in Newgrange, County Meath, by the Office of Public Works even though she was fully acceptable for a similar position in 1980 and 1982, and three of the six appointments made for the 1983 season were new appointments.

Of the six appointments as guide information officer at Newgrange for the 1983 season four were employed in the same capacity last year. There were only two new appointments. The persons appointed were judged the most suitable applicants, due regard being had to their educational attainments and experience.
