Vol. 344 No. 7

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

761.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Offaly, as he needs it for medical reasons.

It is expected that terms will be quoted to the person named in about a month. Service will be provided as soon as possible after the necessary agreement has been signed.

762.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who has been paralysed as a result of a stroke and who is entirely dependent on his wife to look after him will qualify for a free telephone.

The approval of applications for free telephone rental is a matter for the Department of Social Welfare. Application should therefore be made to that Department if it is desired to pursue the matter.
