asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the countries which have made representations to his Department concerning the Irish Government's policy on Central America during the past 12 months.

Contact between governments on matters of current international concern are an ongoing part of normal diplomatic activity. Such contacts take place bilaterally and multilaterally at all levels and in numerous for a, including the United Nations and within the frame-work of European political co-operation. This is true in particular in relation to the situation in Central America. For this reason it would not be feasible for me to detail the very large number of such representations which have been made to the Government and which the Government for their part have made to others about this issue during the past year, even if it were appropriate for me to do so.
