I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that in recent years they have secured a number of industrial projects for the Clondalkin area such as Memorex, TT Systems and Erika which between them employ approximately 370 people and which have the potential to provide further employment opportunities in the years ahead.
The IDA also announced recently that a US company — Cheeseborough Ponds — will set up a new project in the IDA's advance factory in Clondalkin to manufacture a range of personal hygiene products. The company expect to employ 80 people in its Clondalkin manufacturing project by the end of 1984.
In addition, the IDA are actively promoting approximately 77,800 sq. ft. of factory space and 19 acres of land for industrial development in Clondalkin.
