The Industrial Development Authority, in co-operation with the receiver, are continuing their efforts to secure a suitable takeover of the assets of the shipyard. They have indicated a willingness to support fully any proposal which can clearly demonstrate the capability to provide viable employment, of a significant level, at the yard for the foreseeable future. So far, no suitable proposal has developed.
