Vol. 344 No. 8

Written Answers. - Pay Telephone Kiosks.

631.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if pay telephone kiosks in the Dublin area are inspected at regular intervals to ensure that they are working satisfactorily; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The majority of public telephone kiosks in the Dublin area are inspected on a daily basis. Service is restored immediately where faults are of a minor nature. However in the case of cable faults or heavy vandalism there can be delays in restoring service, but every effort is made to restore service as quickly as possible in each case.
