Comhairle Raidio na Gaeltachta is appointed by the RTE Authority, with the consent of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, under section 21 of the Broadcasting Authority Act 1960 as amended. This process is now in train and it is hoped to have a new comhairle in the near future.
