asked the Minister for the Gaeltacht (1) if he was aware that Údarás na Gaeltachta commissioned a consultancy report by Trident Management Consultants in September 1982; (2) the cost of the report; (3) if he received a copy of it before it was released to the press; (4) if he is aware that the management consultants had any previous assignments from Údarás na Gaeltachta or Gaeltarra Éireann; (5) if the Joint Committee on State-Sponsored Bodies have been supplied with copies of the report; (6) if he is aware of the fact that some members of the board of Údarás na Gaeltachta were not supplied with copies of the report before its release to the press; (7) the number of consultancy reports commissioned by Údarás na Gaeltachta since 1 January 1980 and the cost of such reports; (8) the reason this report was published to coincide with the investigation of the affairs of the Údarás by the Joint Committee on State-Sponsered Bodies; (9) if he agrees that Údarás na Gaeltachta and the IDA are comparable in view of the fact that both organisations are financed differently by the Exchequer and in particular, in relation to the capital grant aid given to Údarás na Gaeltachta and not available to the IDA.

Tuigim ón Údarás gur caitheadh £417,969 san iomlán sna trí bliana dar chríoch 31 Nollaig 1982 ach nach bhfuil caiteachas ar chásanna sonracha deighilte ó chaiteachas ar tuarascálacha níos leithne.
