A new house grant cannot be paid to the person named until an inspection establishes that the house has been completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. When my Department's inspector inspected the house in June 1982 a list of outstanding work which must be completed before a grant can be paid was issued to the person named. To date no notification has been received that the work has been completed.

My Department's inspector called to inspect the new house of the person named on 24 June 1983, but could not gain admission. Applicant was informed by letter and asked to inform the Department when the house would be open for inspection. She did not reply. A further inspection will be carried out as soon as possible with a view to payment of the grant.

Payment of subsidy cannot commence until the grant has been paid and at least twelve months have elapsed from the date of execution of the mortgage deed.
