Vol. 346 No. 3

Written Answers. - Killarney Fire Station.

316.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange with Kerry County Council to provide a new fire station in Killarney, having regard to the undesirable and unsuitable location of the present station; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The initiation of arrangements for the provision of a new fire station in Killarney is a matter for Kerry County Council in the first instance. There are no proposals at present before my Department for such a project. However, I understand that the council intends to go ahead with the provision of a new fire station in Killarney as soon as a suitable site, which is currently being sought, has been acquired.
