asked the Minister for Industry and Energy if he will make a statement on the efforts being made by the IDA to establish an industry in the advance factory at Ballina, County Mayo.

I am informed that the Industrial Development Authority have been actively promoting the 27,800 sq.ft., the 26,500 sq.ft. and the 3,600 sq.ft. advance factory units at Ballina, County Mayo for suitable industries. These facilities have been brought to the attention of a number of industrialists both in Ireland and overseas but to date no firm proposals have emerged.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy if he will make a statement on the efforts being made by the IDA to establish an industry in the advance factory at Foxford, County Mayo.

I am informed that the Industrial Development Authority are vigorously promoting its 7,000 sq. ft. advance factory at Foxford, County Mayo, for suitable industrial development. The factory has been brought to the attention of a number of industrial promoters but to date no firm proposals have emerged.

asked the Minister for Industry and Energy the efforts being made at present by the IDA to establish an industry in the advance factory at Charlestown, County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed that the Industrial Development Authority are at an advanced stage of negotiations for the establishment of a new small industry project in its 11,600 sq. ft. advance factory at Charlestown, County Mayo.
