Vol. 346 No. 4

Written Answers. - PMPA Redundancies.

347.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will ensure that employees who may be made redundant by any of the companies within the PMPA will as a minimum receive their statutory entitlements in respect of (1) minimum notice or payment in lieu, (2) payment in respect of holidays due and (3) redundancy payments.

I am taking all possible steps to ensure that any employees of the companies referred to who may be made redundant will receive their full statutory entitlements and I have no reason to believe that they will not receive those entitlements. Officers of my Department are in contact with the administrator of the PMPA Group of companies and he is fully aware of the position regarding the statutory entitlements of the employees.
