Vol. 347 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Cork Firm Re-opening.

205.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the position regarding the efforts being pursued to re-open a firm (details supplied) in County Cork.

I understand that a number of interested parties are in contact with the receiver regarding a possible take-over of the Home Grown Timbers Limited plant at Fermoy. The IDA are maintaining close touch with the receiver on developments in the matter and I am hopeful of a successful conclusion to the talks.

The Deputy will appreciate that, while these negotiations are proceeding, it would be premature for me to disclose further details.
