I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that three recently announced overseas projects, Neilsen Design, Dyneer Corporation and Hospicare are expected to commence production and start recruitment in County Sligo during 1984. These projects will employ 120 people by end 1984.
A small industry specialist has also been appointed to the IDA Regional Office in Sligo town to stimulate further small industry projects in the North-West region.
The IDA have over 60,000 sq. ft. of advance factory space at three locations and 150 acres of industrial land at six locations in County Sligo. In County Leitrim the IDA have 38,000 sq. ft. of advance factory space at four locations and 100 acres of industrial land at seven locations available for industrial promotion.
