Vol. 347 No. 3

Written Answers. - Cattle Identity Cards.

378.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason for the delay in returning blood test samples and disease eradication qualifying cards to a person (details supplied) in County Cork as blood samples were forwarded on 10 July 1983 but he did not get the returns until 4 January 1984 which is far too late.

The date of testing in this case was 10 December 1983 and not 10 July 1983. The results of the tests were available to the practitioner on 19 December and the return of cattle identity cards to the herdowner was a matter for him.
