While returns have not yet been submitted to my Department by all local authorities, it is estimated that approximately 6,100 local authority dwellings were completed in 1983.

asked the Minister for the Environment the capital allocation for local authority houses in 1983 and 1984.
In 1983 the public capital provision for local authority housing construction was £208 million. The provision in 1984 is £211 million.
