243.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

244.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for the Environment when approval for a house improvement grant will be issued to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal so that he can proceed.

The file in this case is with my Department's inspector for a report on the applicant's eligibility for a grant.

245.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a house improvement grant was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

This application was refused because the works did not come within the scope of the limited scheme of grants available where a period of ten years had not elapsed between the date of payment of a previous grant in respect of a house and the commencement of new works.

246.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reasons a mortgage subsidy has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; the amount that will be paid; the date on which it will be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The first two instalments of the mortgage subsidy have been paid in this case. Payment of the third instalment will be made when the applicant submits the appropriate claim form duly certified.

247.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.
