Vol. 348 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

358.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

The application has been refused because, contrary to a condition of the scheme, the work, apart from the provision of a water supply, had commenced prior to an inspection of the house. A grant is not payable for the water supply as a previous water grant was paid in respect of the house in 1976, which is within the ten-year waiting period for further grants under this category.

359.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A grant cannot be paid in this case until the person named notifies my Department that he has completed the work requested recently by my Department's inspector. A further inspection of the house will then be arranged.

360.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.
