Vol. 348 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Wicklow Road.

386.

asked the Minister for the Environment in view of the rapid growth of population in Greystones and the surrounding areas and the decision not to electrify the rail line to Greystones, both of which will mean more cars being used by commuters, the plans, if any, he has for improving in the immediate future the inadequate and dangerous road between Greystones and Bray.

On 14 February 1984, I received proposals from Wicklow County Council for the improvement of a two kilometre section of this road. These proposals are being examined in my Department and I will communicate with the local authority in the matter as soon as possible.
