I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer ceased employment in the State on 13 May 1983 and is presently working abroad. In the circumstances her entitlement to repayment of income tax for the year 1983-84 cannot be determined until after 5 April next. The inspector of taxes will be writing to her shortly for the information required to review the case.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that there is no record of an application for a tax refund in this case. The inspector of taxes will now take up the matter directly with the taxpayer.
