The Irish Nurses Organisation and National Council of Nurses of Ireland have written to me in this matter. I have explained to them that I was anxious to have a small committee and was, therefore, constrained in the number of people who could be appointed. I have promised that should a vacancy arise on the committee I will have regard to their interest in its work. I understand that the committee will be consulting with organisations such as these and I have informed the organisations accordingly. I have also furnished them with a list of the members of the committee to show that nursing interests are already well represented on it.
