There is no provision in the 1984 Estimates for the provision of the facilities referred to by the Deputy. The operations of the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards have been examined in depth by the National Board for Science and Technology. I will be making an announcement in the near future on the findings of this review. The electronics services of the institute are available to industry from the IIRS headquarters in Ballymun.
