Since the closure of the Snia plant in Sligo the IDA have been endeavouring, in consultation with the company and otherwise, to secure a take-over of the plant and equipment with a view to the resumption of manufacturing activities in Sligo. So far, no firm proposals have emerged but the IDA are continuing their efforts to that end.
