571.

asked the Minister for Education if she will agree to the appointment of a remedial teacher to a national school (details supplied) in County Dublin; and if she will expedite the matter.

Applications from schools for remedial posts are examined by my Department and posts are allocated to the schools from the available allocation of teachers in accordance with a priority of need. The school in question has the services of two remedial teachers at present. The school's current application for two further remedial teaching posts will be considered in the circumstances obtaining in relation to the creation of any such posts for the 1984-85 school year.
